Thank you for choosing La Costeña for your catering needs! You will be pleased
by our popular Burrito Bar, perfect for groups of 20 or
more. For 18 dollars a person the price includes all needed napkins, forks, and plates and the
bar features:
- Tortillas: 10" flour tortilla per person
- Meats & Vegetables: Choice of two meats (except seafood) & mixed vegetables
- Beans: Refried and black beans
- Rice: Spanish or brown
- Salsa: Pico de gallo, green or red salsa
- Guacamole, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, and cilantro/onions
- Tortillas, chips, and seasonal fruits

OUR STORY
La Costeña's beginnings date back to 1984 as a family-owned grocery store
with burritos served from the back counter. The customizable burrito bar quickly became
a local favorite and is still a staple in our menu today. For over 40 years, we have
provided our community with delicious, authentic Mexican food that now includes a wide range
of tacos, plates, and burritos made with fresh ingredients. Our enormous, packed to the
brim super burrito is bound to satisfy any craving, but in 1997 we had bigger plans...
To celebrate Cinco De Mayo in 1997, La Costeña set out to break the Guinness World Record
for the largest burrito. Community members came together at Rengstorff Park to create the
chorizo and potato monster that included more than 5000 tortillas and 28 gallons of salsa,
all within the span of the 90 minutes allotted by the health department. The end result was
a record-shattering burrito three times the height of the Empire State Building!
Burrito builders, including locals and visitors like actress Sofia Vergara, were
rewarded with a healthy serving of a foot (or more) of the final product.
The event reminds us of the ability for food to bring our local community together.
Today, we continue to strive to do so with Mountain View's best burritos.
